| KTM-UAE Team ready to take on Rally of Sardinia |

KTM-UAE team is gearing up for the 2010 Rally of Sardinia, with Dubai-based racer Tim Trenker looking to reinforce his class-leading position in the FIM World Championship standings.
Following superb performances in Rounds One and Two of the FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship, in Abu Dhabi and Tunisia respectively, Trenker sits in first place of the World Championship Open Production Class, and fourth place overall.
The KTM-UAE team’s participation in Sardinia will mark the first time the UAE has been represented in the bike class of this event. It also provides a further opportunity for the team to demonstrate the strength of the UAE racing scene at the very highest level globally.
Trenker will be competing on a KTM 530 EXC bike, which is lighter than the normal factory–prepared 690 Rally bike, against 80 of the world’s best riders. The race lasts for six days and covers 1,800km across the Mediterranean island, with 900km of special tests. With its mountains, forests and long fast tracks, it will provide a totally different racing environment from the sand dunes and dusty conditions experienced in the first two rounds. |
